Stranger things season 3 was an amazing nostalgic trip down memory lane, loved the dynamics between the groups especially Steve, robin, Erica and Dusty Bun, turn around look at what you see.

It was brilliant. Erica was good in season 2 and even funnier this time around. All the little different pairings they set up always seem to deliver, the cast are amazing

Only read afterwards that Robin is played by Maya Hawke, the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. A chip off the old block(s).

Its a long thread to trawl through so apologies as I'm sure this will have been mentioned. I've come late to Vikings but currently binge watching and thoroughly enjoying it until season 5 where the English fighting bishop is a main character. That actor and his portrayal of the man is spoiling it for me. The ridiculous menacing whisper is so pathetic. Cant understand how the director wanted this. Just me or??? I'd welcome others thoughts on this guy.

Did anyone watch The First when it was on C4 last year? We’ve just got round to it - watched the first 3 episodes and kind of waiting for something to happen. Is it worth sticking with it?

I finally got round to watching Chernobyl last night, I watched the first two episodes. I don’t know how factual it is, but it’s been great stuff so far.

    Series 2 has been scrapped.
It was a very slow burner, which is probably the reason it got emptied.

It was slow - finished it last night, I’m not sure what it was all about really.

" The Boys" on Amazon has been really good, I've enjoyed and laughed my way through it, bit of a different take on the whole superhero genre, I would recommend it to anyone who likes dark humour

The Iron Cowboy on Netflix. Documentary about one man attempting 50 ironman events in 50 days in 50 states.

The limits of human endurance really are insane.

I've started to watch "The Thick Of It" and I'm wondering how it has managed to pass me by all this time as it is absolutely hilarious.

There are one or two people who I have been tolerating being an irritation at work for some time who might be in for a fright later, as I channel my inner Malcolm.

Brilliant show. The film (In The Loop) is also worth watching

That's on my list to start ASAP. Saw a trailer last year when it was on US TV and thought it looked great.

It does start well, and the story if a little unbelievable does keep you gripped. Saying that i enjoy the walking dead.

We started that last night, watched the first two episodes last night - was a bit too ‘tv’ for me, if that makes sense - like a level down from things like Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, etc.

That said the premise is good and it’s very watchable so I’ll probably stick with it.

I'll confess I've only watched the first episode, but "too TV" is probably a weirdly accurate way to describe how I felt about it. I enjoyed it, but felt like I'd watched similar ideas before. It felt like a mesh of a few different shows/films; "Lost", "Flash Forward", maybe "Final Destination" to name a few. I'm also wary of getting into something like this only for it to be cancelled after a season or two.

If it makes to a third season, I'll probably go back and watch it.

Trailer for Manifest looks good, certainly had a bit of a Lost feel to it probably solely down to the fact it was about a plane incident. I'm finally making my way through The Wire just now. Loving it so far.

I gave up about 2/3 of the way through the pilot of Manifest. The trailer looked great but it's riddled with plot holes and pretty subpar acting.

Has anyone watched Another Life on Netflix? I’ve downloaded the first four episodes for tomorrow.

I watched episodes 3 to 5 last night and by halfway through 3 I have pretty much written it off. It's like Neighbours level TV.

It's not just the plot holes, it's the completely unrealistic situations and circumstances - it's like they've had loads of good ideas and tried to just cram them all in.

There's no character development or build up of suspense or drama etc, just "there's a voice" and then five minutes later "problem solved". Meh.
