Just finished We own this city, was really good, from the makers of the wire and a true story about corruption in the Baltimore Police, Jon Bernthal is amazing in it

Aye, it's a decent watch. Yet another American show with a British actor playing the lead role. He played the part of Anna Friel's husband on Marcella.
I've noticed this a lot recently.

Only watched first episode of new season, but The Boys looks to continue its hilarious ways 😂

We Own This City is out.

I've loved everything David Simon has done, so the bar of expectation is high 🙂
That reminds me to plug The Deuce, which I've recently finished and which is bloody brilliant. (Might not want to watch it with your kids/parents mind.)

The Deuce is magnificent. Brilliantly researched, written and acted.

Yep, have to say there was much cringing in my house with the Termite 'sex' scene 😂
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

    "Flee"
I don't normally watch animation/animated films, but the film "FLEE" really grabbed my attention. A true story, excellently filmed, thought-provoking and inspirational.

    Flee | Official Website | December 03 2021 (fleemovie.com)
FLEE - Official Trailer - YouTube

    "The Final Journey"

Jürgen Prochnow in a topical 2018 film about Ukraine past and present - think it is only subtitles for you non-German speakers out there ...

The Final Journey - 3rd German Film Week - Goethe-Institut Philippinen
The final journey - Trailer - Stockholm International Film Festival 2017 - YouTube

I watched both films here in Germany on ARTE, not sure how they can be viewed in the UK, but well worth a watch in my view, if you can catch them somewhere ...

Can vouch for Ozark as well, binge watched it over the last couple of weeks and thought it was excellent.

I watched the first season and it was great, some reason I never watched when the next season came out... which is weird as it's from The Wire and the first season was ace.

Sherwood is excellent. So much quiet tension. Great actors in every role.

Bad Vegan on Netflix is a really good watch, got one more episode to go.

I loved the book, got right into John Wyndham, but the reviews were honking so I stayed clear. What do you give it out of 10?
Started off well, tailed off a bit towards the end.

Getting back into Ray Donovan after a long hiatus when it switched to Sky Atlantic. Just finished season 4, continues to be decent, violent escapism.

I think I’ll pass on it.

Ozark, Sherwood, Kenobi and Stranger Things still half way through them all and demanding my attention. TV is much better than in the 1980s Discuss.

Was a bit predictable sadly and the last series stretched the already stretched credibility in terms of plot lines.

Quality series overall though but definitely shows why these things should come to a conclusion in a timely manner rather than do a walking dead style never ending approach as, almost inevitably, the quality suffers the longer they go on.

I'm still persevering with The Flash but, it's very tedious now.

Left it open for a movie length denouement in a couple of years. Typical.
