A couple of episodes into the final season of A discovery of witches, continues to be a fine show.

Big Sky on Starz, via Disney+. Almost finished the first series second series being released one episode a week, like old fashioned TV.
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

I’m just catching up with the second series of the Bay. I’d completely forgot about it and just remembered when I saw series 3 starting tonight. It’s really good for anyone that hasn’t seen it yet.
Forgot their was a new series ! Cheers for the heads up

Might well have been mentioned among the 5k posts before this one, but anyone a fan of Shtisel? Started watching it during lockdown with low expectations but thoroughly enjoyed it.

“Stay Close” and “The Stranger” on Netflix… if you know you know. And if you don’t know, get to know. Outstanding viewing!

“The Innocent” and “Safe” up next…

Watched the finale of Yellowjackets last night. Really good stuff, and if you were a fan of Lost, worth a watch.

    Recently watched:

"Stay Close" on Netflix - good watch

"Four Lives" on iPlayer - incredible viewing. Stephen Merchant is fantastic throughout. Based on a true story, tragic!

"Afterlife" on Netflix - new season, not finished it yet but enjoying it so far

Wife is watching "Emily in Paris" on Netflix which i've dipped in and out of. Actually quite funny, and Emily is

It takes a minute to get used to it but I thought it was really good too.

The Tourist on BBC iplayer is excellent. Bit like an Australian Breaking Bad/Fargo mix.

Watched Sophie: A Murder in West Cork on Netflix. Really enjoyed it and quite a bizarre suspect in the case.

My partner happened to mention it at work and one of her colleagues has close relatives that live in the village where this happened and he gave her some interesting insight into the case and said you would have been as well having the local plumber investigate the case as they’d have as much experience as the local police investigating it.

It’s got Fargo’s influence all over it. I thought it was very good.

Many have tried but most have failed. I've not watched the last episode but I suspect it'll leave the option of a second series open.

You should listen to the Podcast West Cork. That goes into much more detail about the police and some of the bizarre stuff that they did. It was originally only available on audible, but you can get it anywhere now.

Just watched the last season of Afterlife. Don’t know how Ricky Gervais does it. I was laughing out load and bawling my eyes out in equal measure all the way through. Absolutely brilliant TV.

Binged it on Sunday and loved it.

What I like about Gervais is so much of his comedy contains self assessment and reflection. In Extras it was the absurdity of his fame and, particularly in the last episode, his own behaviour as he became famous. In After Life there was so much of himself in it.

The 2 scenes with the foghorn were probably the saddest and funniest things I have seen on TV in ages and they were about 40 seconds apart.

    Just finished Afterlife

The squash court scene is one of the funniest moments of television

The build up throughout the series to it is fantastic and had me proper laughing out loud.

The entire series, in fact show is just beautiful. Laughs, tears aplenty

Happened to catch an episode of The Other One on tv a few days ago and have started watching the whole series on iPlayer.

Some laugh out loud moments in it, though I can’t look at the actress playing the main character and not think of her character in The Windsors

Finished after life yesterday and whilst I enjoyed season 3 I thought it was the weakest of the three. Still some really funny bits though. The guy that’s a self confessed loser who’s ex wife is now with the pikey guy is hilarious.
