Last French series I saw was the one when the folk started returning from the dead. The Returned I think it was called.

Les Revenants - there was an American remake a few years later

That was a Canal+ series so it was behind a paywall.

I haven't started it yet but I wouldn't be surprised. Most French crime series are pretty awful and any that I like tend to get pulled after 1 season. British & Scandinavian series were beating them hands down and now with the quality of stuff that the likes of Netflix & Amazon are producing, I honestly think they the main French channels have given up.

Lupin's a Netflix original and you have to give them there due for making stuff in different countries instead of staying safe in the states or UK doing only English language stuff.
You never tried Spiral? (‘Engrenages’ en français) that’s a good cop show, I haven’t seen all 7 series but I watched a few and it’s good.

Canal+ paywall again. They do better stuff than the main channels.

It's on Netflix now though so all is well.

Watched the 1st episode of Night Stalker on Netflix.

I'll stick with it for now but it's very slow. It's one of those documentaries that seems to have mountains of filler that add nothing of substance and it's only their to string out another couple of episodes.

Anyone watched Wanda Vison? Some of the Marvel films are good but find Marvel hit and miss. My wife loves Marvel though so watched the first episode with her. Very weird, I’ll give it one more episode before I’m out, declaring it utter nonsense.
First episode was pretty poor, tbh. I got what they were trying to do , but the whole time I just thought "why"?

    Channel 4 for me today.

Blitzed through the entire 2nd series of Back. Picked up where the 1st series left off. A really brilliant show. It was risky pairing David Mitchell and Robert Webb in another comedy because the Peep Show comparison were inevitable. It works though and the supporting cast are excellent.

Also watched the 1st episode of It's A Sin. Looks like it will be really good but it's going to be a hard watch so one episode was quite enough for one evening.

Watched "White Tiger" on Netflix tonight. Although I did enjoy it, it never really got going.

I can't believe I'm going to admit this, but I've just watched my 2nd ever Masked Singer, and it's become compulsive viewing.

    It's great Saturday night TV.

Total nonsense, completely pointless but so addictive.

The shootout at the handover of the rubies wouldnae have looked out of place on The A-Team, they should just pump each other and get it over with! 😯

I had never seen this, and caught the end of a repeat midweek, and decided to watch it on iPlayer. Ended up watching about 6 episodes last night, it’s brilliant.

Watching the third season of Cobra Kai. Utter garbage. The whole thing is ridiculous. First season was good for nostalgia reasons, second was heading downhill, this third season is ludicrously bad. In fact, hilariously bad would be a better description.

Second series of The End Of The ****ing World had a promising start.

First series was one of the best black comedies I've seen in years.
I would definitely recommend this. I watched the first series last night and end to end it's just like a good (if a bit long) film. I found it excellent with a couple of real LOL moments.

I don't know if I'll do the second series tonight, but it'll definitely be soon.

It's like they are trying to fit stories around the actors from the original film making wee appearances.

Gutted Dutch hasnt made a comeback mind you and only found out that he was played by Steve McQueens son last week.

I already knew the outcome having previously watched a documentary about the case, good viewing though.

I thought it was great, yip it’s absolute trash acting, the story is pretty poor but it’s nostalgic, it knows it’s bad, it makes fun of itself and the films and the 80s really. Can’t wait for season 4

I thought the idea of that was good, but the execution wasn’t great. I’ll watch season 2 in the hope that it gets better.

I like watching re-runs of a German TV show called Alles Klara.

It's a load of rubbish but it's worth it for; a) The scenery, b) The lead actress* Wolke Hegenbarth

    * I can use the word actress instead of actor, as it's German ;-)

I tried to watch "When They See Us" on Netflix - very tough watch, got through one episode and couldn't go any further. May return but not for now

Started The Queens Gambit instead and enjoying that. Wife is Nirish so i'm just catching up on Derry Girls too, great tv

I think it's the story and the overall premise that I struggle with, like a whole town is dominated by what happened in a karate tournament back in the 80s.

I went off on one about the show 24 a while back on one of the podcasts, and I can see similar happening with this show as well.

It's so bad (didn't stop me watching the whole of season 3 though, and I will, no doubt, watch season 4 as well )
