'The Movies' on Sky Documentaries is worth a watch.

I watched two excellent documentaries over the weekend, they are on Sky Crime, first one was Outcry about a high school American footballer accused of sexual assault and the other one was I will be gone in the dark which is about the East Area Rapist, a guy who raped 50 women and killed 12 people in the 70s and 80s

Cheers for that MD4, I loved Gommorah so I'm looking forward to this movie 👍

The latter also known as the Golden State Killer. In 2018 I watched a 5-part documentary on the Golden State Killer, at this point his identity was unknown. I found it an interesting watch while utterly horrifying. Several weeks after the last episode aired they arrested someone. They followed up with another 2-part documentary on the man arrested. Crazy story but good that someone has finally been brought to justice, albeit 30 odd years too late.

Finished season 2 of Condor, tad predictable but, decent enough. After a few years absence managed to finish Prison Break and Graceland too. Both very far fetched but, good individual characters. (Serinda Swan on Graceland for obvious reasons).

I enjoyed Condor but did find it strange most of the characters and spooks seemed to live within walking distance.

As you say a bit of a stretch but a half decent watch.

Just finished the first season of Dirty John, that was pretty good. Season 2 up next!

I liked the first season for the nostalgia, and there were some pretty funny bits in it, but the second season was just nonsense - virtually every scenario/storyline was completely telegraphed and/or ridiculously unrealistic.

I watched the trailer for this series and thought it looked more aimed at a teenage audience so gave it a miss...was I wrong in that snap judgement?

The first season is aimed squarely at those that remember the movie, beyond that you’re not missing too much.

I'd agree with that. They had a good chance to do a lot better with it. Bit of a waste to be honest.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Thanks. I remember the movie but don’t actually really remember it if you get my drift....been a rather long time since it was last watched!

Think I’ll give this a miss.

Watched the second season of Dirty John and while it’s an interesting story it really wasn’t quite the same pace or feel of the first. Well acted and the changing fashions over the decades it covers kept the Mrs entertained but I’d not bother if I had my time over again.

Think someone maybe mentioned it on here earlier but I’m watching The Capture on iPlayer, really enjoying it, I feel like I did when watching inception, I’ve got absolutely no idea what is real and what isn’t. I’m on episode 3 and I still have no idea where it’s going.

Finished both of these this weekend and agree both are very good. My favourite type of programme.

Also watched ‘there’s something wrong with aunt Diane ‘ on Sky crime. Just a one off documentary but also good.

Bought a new ipad and apple devices at the moment come with a 12 month subscription to apple tv+.
I wouldnt have bothered normally but set it up and watched Greyhound (film). Was ok
Watching 'See' with Jason Momoa (Stargate Atlantis, Aquaman etc).
Its different, I'll give it that. The queen has an interesting method when praying......

Defending Jacob is really good on Apple TV.

Agree on that. 1&2 were great. 3 felt like they got the commission but really didn’t have any story left. Still watchable though and all in all a good recommendation from this thread yet again.

Currently watching the latest offering of Cormoran Strike on the BBC. Always a good watch those

I'm 4 eps into I will be gone in the dark, it's tedious viewing to say the least.

I've now watched the first 3 episodes, quite liked Holliday Grainger's posh girl accent! 😍

It was one of those shows where a different problem occurs in each episode that’s always solved by the end of the episode. Apparently it was quite a big budget show, but it wasn’t great tbh.

I watched 15-20 minutes of the first episode then couldn't be bothered.
