Watched The Matrix again recently and it was as good as j remember it. Arguably the greatest Sci-Fi film of all time.
Good film but probably not even in the top 25 sci-fi films for me.

When I saw The Matrix at the cinema following the scene where Trinity briefly runs along a wall the woman next to me turned to her pal and said "ha, as if she could do that".

Everything else in the film was doable obviously.

Certainly it is a matter of opinion. In defence of the matrix though it does rate quite highly on an empire magazine list I read - I think it was 4th best sci-fi film. I didn't agree with all of the list but it did have blade runner and alien above the matrix which is good enough for me.

I watched the matrix in the cinema on Lothian Road and just as it hit the dojo fight scene the fire alarm went off, was raging

That lady sounds like my pal, we were watching one of the Lord of the rings films and Legolas slides down stairs on a shield and my pal goes I'm no having that, bud we are watching a film about elves and orcs haha

Started the Wu-Tang documentary on Sky - well worth watching. I’m only one episode in but it’s on a par with The Defiant Ones so far.

Watched the second series of What We Do In The Shadows. Thought the film was quite good, first series had its moments but was a bit disappointing. Second series was much better IMO. An easy watch for half an hour.

Don’t know anything about Wu Tang Clan other than discovered the other day that Cheese from The Wire is actually a rapper and that’s his band. Every day is a school day.

Very much looking forward to watching 'Fear City: New York v The Mafia'. I've got a slightly obsession with mafia programmes.

    Fascinating documentary on Sky.

    Back on the documentaries.

Started watching Laurel Canyon, a two-parter about the music scene in LA in the 70s. Right up my hippie street

Just found out that it's been nominated for an Emmy.

    Sky Documentary channel.

Back in the day I only watched season 3 and I really enjoyed it, but the reviews said it was poor compared to the first 2. I actually bought it on blu-ray a month ago so about to start it.

The first series of Hidden is particularly good, it's in Welsh with English subtitles. It might be listed under Craith.

As relevant a thread as I’ll find. Watching the Simpson’s just now and this was the intro. WTF! Not sure what I just watched. Best just sticking to the first 10 series!

I read that it's the same as the English language version and that both were filmed at the same time with each scene being done in Welsh then in English / bilingual. Don't know if that's true or not, I haven't seen the Welsh version.

I can't even remember if both series were in Welsh, I think they were though. It's good anyway.

Wasn’t a fan of Hard Sun...not sure I even finished it but no letting that put me off I started on Thirteen tonight.

Got to say it’s pretty good so far so thanks for the heads up.

That said I’m for ever waiting for Villanelle to appear from behind the mask and stab someone every time Ivy gets annoyed or distressed

    They were

Unfortunately the writers strike took its toll just as it got into its stride and it never really recovered.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Thirteen finishes a bit abruptly, I get the feeling there were originally more eps or 2nd series planned that never came to fruition.
