I’ve been rewatching Line of Duty on the iPlayer. British cop shows aren’t usually my thing but Jed Mercurio is just so good at what he does. All five series are similarly good, the quality doesn’t drop.

I binged all series about a month ago. Outstanding TV.

A different story, can't quite remember if there are any references to season 1 (I don't think so).

Everyone raves about it so I tried to watch it but Compston with an English accent gave me such a rage I had to give up

I'm watching Gomorra from the start again instead

Just watched the first season of Top of the Lake. Slow moving drama with great dialogue. Probably best described as a New Zealand Ozarks on valium. None of the male characters come out of this well, I've not checked, but I suspect the writer has had bad experiences with men.

Really enjoyed a documentary called Kiss the Ground on Netflix which gives hope that we can actually start to reverse climate change fairly quickly and easily by changing agricultural techniques.

One of the main things I took from it other than it being a positive feeling documentary was that it featured a family ranch run by the Markegards, they also featured in a 2014 documentary called Cowspiracy. The way they were portrayed in that documentary to fit the director's narrative to how they come across in this one is such a contrast

I just finished Black Spot on Netflix, it seemed to be leading up to a big finish that didn’t happen, maybe they were expecting another season that didn’t happen.

The Comey Rule is worth a watch for a broad summary of the FBI's version of events of the last few years.

Watched An American Murder on Netflix.

Absolutely heartbreaking. Cant understand what drives people to commit such unspeakable acts!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Im just getting to the last episode of series 5, it’s the best one IMO. Stephen Graham puts in a truly great performance.
