Watched the first 2 episodes of shogun tonight on Disney really good looking forward to the rest of it
I’m 2 in now. It’s excellent but you really have to concentrate on what’s going on!

Wife gave up due to the subtitles

For all their claims of being able to multitask I don't know of any woman that can handle subtitles 😁

Watching Traces season 2 on BBC iplayer. I thought that a CSI type show located in Dundee would be rubbish due to there being zero dental records and everyone having the same DNA, but it's actually not bad.

Watched the first part of Rebel Moon on Netflix.

Was ok. Will watch the 2nd part when it drops next week. It's a bit of a Star Wars knock off with added violence.

    A bit?

Thought it was pretty lazy guff to be honest.

The Mrs liked it though so maybe just me that wishes film makers would stop making the far future always a dystopian one.

Believe it is based on an open learning course run jointly by abertay University and open University with val mcdermid as a leading writer. Really good.

    Ripley on netflix.

    It's 50s Hitchcockesque, I'm sure deliberately.

Black and white, slow, lingering shots, very little exposition.

    It's tense and intriguing.

    It's good.

Watched most of The Gentleman as mentioned by a number of others. Thought it was ok. First couple of episodes were good but it then ended up in one off episodes that resolve themselves in that same episode and at that point was still decent, but not as good.

Also just finished season 4 of True Detective. My wife loved it I wasn’t so keen. Was hoping for more from the supernatural aspect but thought the conclusion was a bit bland and some of the supernatural stuff made little sense as a result.

Just finished watching Fallout on prime. As a massive fan of the games it is almost perfect. Walton Goggins is absolutely brilliant in it.

I am late to the Slow Horses party, watched the end of the first series this evening with th missus and thoroughly impressed. Oldman Scott Thomas and Saskia Reeves the beating heart of it.

Just watched the first episode last night. Yeah it is pretty perfect so far, great attention to detail. Great cast. Need to try and ration myself and not binge the rest this weekend

Just finished Mary & George, Julianne Moore and Tony Curran were particularly good in it along with multiple others.

Just finished Fallout on Prime, never played the game but that show was fantastic and had great characters and was genuinely funny and bizarre, cannot wait for another season, was exactly the same with the last of us which I loved and if honest enjoyed TLOU that wee bit more, just shows you that there can be games that can be made into top notch shows.
Now onto Baby Reindeer, only a couple in but enjoying it so far.

Started watching Ripley on Netflix. I loved the film so this takes a bit of getting used to. Been decent so far (2 episodes in) but it's almost too arty for its own good.

Just binged on all 8 episodes. I agree with all the above. I can see that quite a few folk will hate it but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very retro with great cinematography.

Beautifully filmed and wonderful acting. A second series is hopefully on the cards.
