    Ta.

As it turns out, the final series of Engrenages was superb. The whole run of 8 seasons is up there with my favourites ever.
Im watching series 1 at the moment. Lots of gears to go through. The autopsy scenes are beyond graphic...I’m getting a lot more from it second time around, it’s just a merciless takedown of every corner of the French justice system. Everyone’s corrupt, there’s not a redeeming feature in there.

That's what I love about it. I might just go back to the beginning:)

Just started the 2nd season of "Rectify", fantastic TV, great storyline with excellent thought provoking dialogue that moves along at a steady comfortable pace. Even if was ***** it would be worth watching just to see Abigail Spencer in summer dresses.

I just finished White House farm. I wasn’t aware of the story, but I really enjoyed watching it, how can someone do that.

I see Dexter is coming back for a new series, hopefully ties up a few loose ends after the hugely iffy ending to the last one.
Yeah really enjoyed Dexter but a real damp squib of an ending.

    Framing Britney Spears.

I didn’t know anything about her story really, never liked her music and I’m not interested in celebrity news. Just watched it with the family and it’s just incredible viewing. Unsettling and troubling. I’d like to think the paparazzi are more restrained than they were 15 years ago but I’m not so sure.

There was a good documentary on the BBC late last year about celebrity culture. Back in the early 00s some paparazzi were making £10K from one photograph. One guy was bemoaning that the bubble had burst because famous people had taken things 'in house' and now posted their own photos on Instagram and the like. He was pleading poverty where a few minutes earlier he had been explaining how good he was at upskirting. My heart bled for him.

I think the paparazzi are largely more restarined because no one wants their work anymore.

Sometime last year back in deepest darkest lockdown I saw a Facebook clip of Anthony Bourdain enjoying a chippy in Glasgow and ever since I've watched just about every one of his tv programmes while dreaming about travelling again

Salt and Vinegar or just salt? 🤔

There must've been better things you've watched than that.

I see BBC1 are showing Bates Motel, starting tonight. Really enjoyed it first time around.

Watched Behind Her Eyes on Netflix at the weekend.

Psychological thriller. Was pretty good, I'm not really in to that genre tbh but enjoyed it

I see they are reviving Frasier. One of my all time favourite shows, can’t see how it’s anything but an excuse to top up the pension pots and something they will butcher.

I'll be giving it a look. Kelsey Grammar is great in the role and it's a character they'd successfully migrated from another sitcom - Cheers - to start with. I'm hopeful for this one.

    Curry sauce.

You need to see it. Typically there's derision directed towards Scottish cuisine but here was an American bigging up a traditional Scottish chippy in a way I hadn't heard before.

I seem to be in the minority in that I loved cheers (had season 1 on dvd and it was tremendous) but never really been that bothered at all for Frasier, albeit only tried it a few times.

Everyone else seems to either be the other way round, or at least likes Frasier just as much!

I guess the fact that I knew of Frasier before I seen him in cheers might make a difference.. but give me coach and the early cheers days any day of the week.

    Gamertag: Hibby70
Finnish thriller Man In Room 301 on BBC.

Watched the first episode and it was very good.

The Terror started on BBC last night, only watched the trailer, but looks like BBC at its best.

Finally someone else has watched this lol. I’ve mentioned it at least twice on here. I loved it.

If you’ve not watched Ted Lasso on Apple TV yet, I’d recommend it. Jason Sudekis won best actor in a comedy series at the golden globes on Sunday, it was well deserved.

It's good, but it's an American production - AMC. Ridley Scott executive producer.

Been on annual leave this week so binge watched both mate! I see Ted Lasso has been approved for 3 seasons, and The Morning Show will have a 2nd series too. Can’t wait for that! Surprised at how good it was.

Yeah I think the second season of Ted Lasso is provisionally set to air in autumn this year, I thought the morning show would have at least one more season because there was still some unresolved issues, I hadn’t read it was happening though and with the length of time since the first season I thought it maybe wasn’t happening, but I suppose Covid has delayed loads of stuff. Defending Jacob is another good one on Apple TV, I’m sure I watched that in one night.
