I read this morning that Asmir Begovic the goalkeeper scored a goal last season for Stoke against Southampton and has been enered in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest ever recorded at 91.9 metres. How long is ER and was Mark Oxley's a further kick?

Not sure how long ER is but Oxley was at the edge of the box and kicking from hand (if I remember correctly) whereas the other one was further back in the box and the ball was on the ground (big wind assist mind). I don't think Oxley's goal was as far.

Ooooow now he was a player who could strike a ball. Great goal in the New Year Derby must have been 68 or 69 IIRC but not from our own half
