He is free and is exactly what we need. He creates and scores goals. We should be doing everything we can to try and get this guy. He could save our season.

Personally, I reckon he's finished. There is a reason he is free.

He is still a capable player. We need someone who can make a telling pass and actually create something for our strikers other than crosses from out wide. I think he's certainly worth a try. Especially in the championship.

A Motherwell season ticket holder said to me at a wedding in July "The only way you will be signing McFadden is if the guy doing the medical is deaf blind and dumb"

I heard that we had made a offer for McFadden and he turned it down, that was a while back now, he then went to train with Partick Thistle for a while but i heard he picked up a injury while training with them, don't no what he is up to now.

McFadden is the last thing we need IMO
An anywhere near fit McFadden would have ripped the SPL apart
As it was he was largely anonymous
Where we are we need energy fitness and a bit of dig
He has none of these attributes IMO
I will be horrified if we sign him as it will show that despite the bluster around our new expensive and much vaunted structure it will be clear that we are still following the lazy thinking of the past

The fact that he's still without a club would suggest he's not proven his fitness. Think we need more physicality up top anyway to be honest.

If Stubbs hasn't made a move for him, we'll just have to accept his judgement.
He will know McFadden from their time at Everton, so he'll be well placed to know whether he's worth chasing.

had his chance and decided to wait to see if better offer came, it didn't. Wouldn't take him now even if he came gift wrapped.
