Most folk would agree with this if you posted it before the griffiths hysteria, as it stands we are still short on players and have fallen behind early doors, we must win the next 4 games.

They've started well no doubt but it's a marathon not a sprint and when they drop a few points in games they expect to walk it will be interesting to see how they react. This boy could have been signed solely on the basis of being an arrogant ****er by the look of that article. A perfect fit for the merricks.

It's pretty much right. We've lost 2 of our first 3 games and are struggling to be honest.
We aren't going to win this league.

Irrespective of how far ahead Hearts or Rangers are at the end of the season the clubs in third or fourth position are still in with a chance of promotion. We will be in the top four if not the top two so there is no need to panic. The main priority is to get someone in who can convert some of these chances that we are creating.

A few quality players and a signing to unite fans would be a right step to pushing the new views of our management and club.

I happened to say on the Griffiths thread (I believe we are about to be networked as the Griffiths Channel) that Rangers and Hearts are in a 2 horse race....to be the most odious and detestable clubs in Scotland! And I don't think anyone is about to catch them.

We lost at the PBS because we missed our penalty and they scored theirs. We have a dismal record there so I wouldn't judge our ability to win this league on that result. We had plenty chances to beat Falkirk and on most days would take at least 2 of them. Rangers won't win the league unless they get rid of McCoist because he is a clown. Even the huns know that. My bigger concern about Hibs is whether Stubbs style of football will win games away to Cowdenbeath in the middle of winter on a bumpy pitch. Will he have a plan B for those conditions? I'm certainly not giving up on us on the back of 2 defeats against the stronger teams in league that we could easily have won if we had taken some very good chances.

With 33 games to go I find it amazing that people are saying we can't win it .
Loads of twists and turns and if we win our Derbys we will win the league .
It's who finishes the strongest not who starts wins this league .

Let's see who we've got in on Tuesday before we start making predictions.
United we stand here....

Most of us on here will be old enough to remember seasons with an excellent start, followed by a shocking run and an end of season struggle. And we've all heard (and mocked) pundits making ludicrous claims based on a couple of games. Personally, I'm going to try to enjoy the football, give the team / management team / Leeann Dempster time to settle in, and pencil in panic for the spring. Stress reduction strategy is the sensible way forward.

In the Scotlands Shame Handicap I'd say the new boys are a bit ahead of their mutant twin. They certainly bumped their creditors of a lot more money but its an interesting one since the yam arguably committed the most odious scams over the poppy money and the Macraes money that appeared to have been resting in their account. Neither have any conscience, maybe the yam meant they are 2 halves of the same pantomime horse?

Given the start to the season, I think it's fair comment.
It's up to Hibs to prove them wrong.

Hearts striker Soufian El Hassnaoui claims #Hibs don't have the quality to win this year's Championship. See EN today. @edinburghpaper #HMFCThere is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

Typical yam arrogance, similar to the suggestion they would be in the top 6 by xmas last season.

oh so thats how it works, 3/4 games in and thats it decided!? Well in that case can i be first to congratulate big yogi and ict for winning the spl. Beat their main rivals in celtic, so thats them written off, and now just need to see off hamilton and its theirs. Cmon guys, we, the fans at least, need to have a bit of fight about us. No way im conceding anything to those inbreds until its impossible to do otherwise!!!!

Someone somewhere on here has a signature saying Class doesn't show on a maroon jersey.

This the same "EL Hass" that hasn't kicked a ball for them yet?... I'll wait and see what quality he brings then - hopefully it is of the same level as Mr Ozturk who Hearts fans all seem convinced is a player.

It was probably the guy's honest assessment in amongst many other commitments but tweeted on its own, it makes a headline.

The Hearts seem to be running away with the idea that they are unbeatable. Remember we are 3 games in. There is a lot a football to be played, and you never know, we might just add another player or two... Super Leigh?

As both squads stand Hearts will finish first or second. If we add a couple before the window closes Leigh being one then that really could make a huge difference. I still think Hibs will win both their home games against Hearts, and Hearts will win their home games against us.

Nowhere does he say we don't have the quality of players to win.
Although dismissive of Hibs’ title chances*, El Hassnaoui admitted it was their presence and that of Rangers in the Scottish Championship which persuaded him to join Hearts “Rangers and Hibs being in the league was a big attraction for me because you have three big clubs. That’s not normal, but it’s good for us. I’m just focused on Hearts. First I have to do well here and then we can talk about something else.”
* This is the only mention, not a quote in sight. There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.
