Pat Fenlon on Relegation, Alan Stubbs and the Future for Hibs

    Hi guys,

I'm back again! Last night I was talking to Pat Fenlon after his debut Rovers game. They won 2-0

Here's his interview (11.01 is when it starts) which covers a lot of current Hibs topics.

As always, feedback really would be appreciated as well as tweeting the video and sharing it on social media!

    Nice work young man.

What I would say is try not to talk over the response when you've asked a good question.

Good interview. Always had time for Pat and I'm interested to hear his thoughts.

Hope he does well over there.

Interesting, liked Pat but between that final and Malmo he had to go. Think the difference between the LOI and Spl got to him.

Good stuff! Your interviews are always more interesting than most of the generic stuff that's asked by the media.

Glad Pat's back in with a job. He always cared about the club and I love how much he dislikes Hearts.

    Echo this.

Loved Pat's quip that he was not that interested in Hearts!

Wish Pat well, and will keep my eye out for The Rovers results now.

Pat always seems a likeable guy. It's a shame it just wasn't to be at Easter Road

    Good interview.

His response to Hearts - "I'm not too bothered about them to be honest."

All the best Pat - thanks for SOME good memories

    Good interview. Very interesting questions.

For a guy who doesn't seem to enjoy media work, he always comes across pretty well I think.

Top man but had a shocker with player recruitment last summer!

Really wanted it to work with Pat in charge but wasn't to be. A few players really really let him down.

I liked PF he definitely brought us some good memories - the 2-1 win at the PBS springs to mind.

Rovers are a good team for him to go back to. Potential of a few titles over the next couple of years, and he's still young enough to use it as a springboard back into a bigger role. Pity it never quite worked out at hibs, but I'd not be overly surprised to see him get another chance at a bottom 6 spl side. Sometimes managers don't work at clubs, but if he manages to bring another period of success in at rovers there's not really any doubting he's got the pedigree for the SPL. His chapter at Hibernian is over and a new one is beginning; I wish him all the best.

My favourite game of recent years. It'll take a long time to forget both those goals.

Is it too late to ask him about the new home kit, or has Gok been posting under pseudonyms?

Still can't believe it. When Doyle shot from that far out I was thinking "what have you done!!!" it goes in and all pandemonium breaks loose.

It summed up being a Hibee in a single game that one. The bad times are bad and seem to happen all at once but getting through them makes the good times oh so sweeter.

Nice one pal. Cheers for sharing that.

I took it the same day as a Hibs V Celtic game, and I told him that! Somebody who went to the signing later said they knew the fellow with the Hibernian scarf, and he asked what the score was :P

I had only ever been to 3 Hibs games before that. A 2-0 loss to Dundee United, the 5-1 and the Motherwell game that started the rot for Fenlon when they came from 2-0 down to beat us 3-2 (Doyle, my favourite player, had scored twice that day). I genuinely thought I was a jinx and was on the aerlingus website looking for early flights home at half-time. Couldn't find one and decided I had to stay on. Doyle's goal just wrecked me emotionally...
