Just Brown, Whittaker and Fletch to return. What's the chances of that happening in the future?
It has been pleasing that the likes of GOC, Riordan, Ian Murray, Ivan and KT never forgot the club that gave them the opportunity and returned to Hibs.
Probably unheard of to see so many of a golden generation to return. Anyway it's good to reminisce about that team.

It has been proved time and time again it mostly doesn't work
Why not just accept the pleasure we had when they were here and MOVE ON and wait for the next "crop" ?

Never look back. It does not work. GOC, DR &KT proved that. Just remember their legacy of a new stand and a training ground. Let us hope the class of 2014 wil be just as successful.

So if Hibs make an announcement today that Scott Brown is returning this season, you'll hand your Season Ticket back in disgust?

All of the players who have returned have returned to significantly poorer teams than the ones they left which has seriously affected the way they have been able to make an impact on the park.
I thought Riordan did fine on his return, G O'C started well but tailed off, Ivan played in Calderwood's calamitous side and what could we really have expected of KT last year? Murray offered plenty, again, in several positions when he came back. So for all they weren't as good as they were first time round (and it would have been very difficult for them to have been) they have been far from the worst signings we have made in recent years.
I'd love to see the 3 mentioned come back after successful careers elsewhere - INTO A GOOD HIBS TEAM - and provide the kind of guidance to our youngsters that they need from senior players around a club and encourage them to pick up the good habits that they have done to make a career like they have.

SW would like to finish his career with us once he moves back up the road. Hopefully we are back where we belong by that point
