    Callum Booth

Was there today and callum booth looked like the young energetic full back who burst onto the scene a few years back. Final ball wasnt great every time but its only pre season. Others a different dimension to our play and a massive upgrade on mcgivern.
Good to have you back callum!

Didn't he play left mid? Always looked like more of a left midfielder to me.

Let's not all go OTT ąt the 1 performance. Look a few pages back at the Kujabi page. We were playing a low amateur team in the grand scale of things.

He has a long way to go and him and the rest of guys need support. Need to try not build the up so that when they have a bad spell the they suddenly become *****

Can see what you mean but surely supporting them is about praising them when they've played well, regardless of the opposition?

    Chuffed to bits for him.

It's ridiculous how much he's knuckled down the last few years and he's completely dedicated to his profession. He'll turn out to be a real player for us.

I agree with you and the guys above. It's when it starts to build up that when they do go through the bad spell we give this support and not slate them.

I'd rather people went over the top with prise than have dry, sarcy put-downs all over the place.

Thats what I mean though. When booth goes through a bad stage rather than slate him, we know there is player in there so support him we do when he has a good game

Grant Murray sais he was the fittest player at Raith last season and also his work ethic were simply second to none.

He's a completely different lad to the CB of a few years ago. Total professional, a far cry from the last imposter we had at left back. Zero bevvy and total effort and commitment.

Amidst all the doom and gloom maybe we've got a glimmer of hope. Well done Callum for your performance today.

Did not mean to delete that last post. Doh

Was just wondering what he was like a few years ago? Willing to bet he wasnt half as bad as the left back you mentioned above.

Typical Hibs fan doom and gloom. Give the lad a chance. Can't wait to see him back playing for us again. He's worked his arse off over the last couple seasons and will no doubt be good addition to the club. Welcome back B

He's always been a talented player, he maybe just lost his way a bit and fell into the trap that a lot of young guys do not being able to find a balance between work and the other parts of their life.

Clearly he has sorted that out, knuckled down and got rave reviews at Raith last year. Hopefully he can kick on with us and win himself a longer contract. If he can continue to develop then I've no doubt he'll be a big player for us this season.

If he was able to play regularly and consistently well in the league below the Premiership, then surely that is good enough for the season going forwards at least?
