It would seem that the budget for the Everton u21 side is similar to that of Hibs total budget and he had his own full back up team so Hibs job is not much of a step up for him.
He also says Everton had 9 players out on loan last season and if required he will ask Martinez for some players.Sorry can't find article on line.

I think it makes sense to use his Everton connections if possible. Hes going to know as much as anyone about who would fit in with what we need, even if its most likely a loan deal!
