Its what big clubs do... Celebrate a stand that's a deathtrap.

That's about the only game of the season that I hope Manchester City win.
Hope they destroy them.

Hertz class. Somehow turning round the fact that, as they are so skint, they are unable to replace that deathtrap excuse for a stand, into its "centenary". A landmark in British football my **** - more like a plook on the ugly side of Embra!

I'd be embarrassed about having a stand that's 100 years old.

Can people starting threads about trivial things associated with the yams.
Granted, if I was a City supporter I might be interested, but as I'm not, I'm not.

That's a coup for them, no doubt about it.
In years to come, Man City fans will sing songs about the night they played The Big Team.

A club that are spending money like it's going out of fashion versus a club that have spent other peoples money like it was going out of fashion..... Hope they both lose...

Bad move - it'll just remind them of the days when they too, were a 'Big Team' with endless-amounts of (someone elses's) money.

With them, the money actually exists and their owner could erase their debt at the stroke of a pen.

hate to say it, but it'll be far bigger opponents than we can draw this summer.

£25 for an adult ticket. Good value for a friendly.
Edinburgh's big club indeed.

Anyone ever been in the hearts dressing rooms? They are worse than the old old Wardie changing rooms. Sure the billionaire club City will love that.

celebrating a rickety old asbestos-riddled big pink bus shelter that's survived only because of crooked council officials how ******* embarrassing

If the Man City players have any sense then they'll get changed on the team coach on the way to that flea pit.

The reason why it's so cramped is because human beings were, on average, six inches shorter than they are today.
Hart and Toure literally won't physically fit inside the changing rooms.

And they agreed on one thing, that the place is a complete eyesore.
He couldn't believe how bad it really was.

The Man City players, used to the Etihad Stadium will feel like they have moved from a five star hotel to a Motel 6 once they walk out onto the rotten turf at Tynecastle.

What makes Man City vile and horrid?
This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If anything is vile and horrid it might be the general 'money laundering' allowed in sports in general and football in particular.
However, I think there is a balance for most clubs and some who do overspend reach a tipping point and suffer. Just so happens there are some people with so much money to play with that losing a few hundred million is insignificant.
So out of interest who are your favourite 'big' clubs? I bet they spend a lot of money not all generated through the turnstiles.
If they want to celebrate their old stand I don't care. Every city and culture should celebrate their ancient ruins !
