Seems entirely sensible and the right thing to do.

All very worthy I'm sure but for God's sake will someone tell them to give us a ****ing decent team to support. That's all I want for my £400.

Reckon she'll wipe the floor with McGivern the first time he's spotted rolling about George St after a defeat

· "Introduction of a holistic performance athlete development plan to support the physical development of our players."
Interesting. No more nights on the lash?

Also thinking about our reputation as a club she plans to implement (what should be common sense to most people but unfortunately isn't as we have seen in the past) educating the youngsters on the appropriate ways to use various social media platforms such as Twitter etc!
She is taking a great attention to detail and is saying all the right things at this stage...things are looking positive IMO
Now just to confirm ST prices etc so can get those bought!

"...myself and George will be developing and writing..."
I despair, I truly, truly do.

It is a good sign when at board level they are trying in force the right attitude players signing will know its this way and won't sign if unwilling to follow the rules

I realise I run the risk of being called a nit-picker, but I don't like all the phrases starting "we need to..." and "we have to...".
If any of the previous board had said those things, they would be dismissed by many as platitudes. I'm not sure why it's different this time. Leeann is after all, a Petrie appointment.
Yes, we know we need to do all those things, we've known it for years.
I'd have been more impressed if we had heard definite commitments e.g.;
"we will get more kids playing football in Hibernian strips..."
"We will ensure that we have the best coaching syllabus..."
"we will ensure that measures are in place..."
"We will ensure all of our players understand..."
"We will also improve our Player identification..."
"the plan will ensure..."
But that probably says more about my line of work than the board's intentions.Last edited by Hibbyradge; 16-06-2014 at 09:35 AM.

Fine words butter butter no parsnips
It is all very well sorting out the grassroots and using The Spartans as a pathway for bringing on the future youth of the club. But where is the plan for getting the current 1st team out of the doldrums?
This plan reads like it was conceived while LD was still gainfully employed elsewhere, before the club won relegation and does not take account of the predicament the club currently finds itself.
Having a plan for the club's future is all well and good but if the now is not fixed then there is likely to be no future.
Look at me, I'm miserable now.

All sounds really good and positive stuff to improve the club's status in the community and develop players in the long run, however the point to that is not mentioned is this - how is it going to be paid for in the short term?
Surely all funds in the short term needs to be focused on getting back to the top division in the first year?

As for the substance of the plan, there's nothing revolutionary in there, but hopefully a renewed focus from senior management will make things happen. This club has underperformed for too long.

It will obviously be at least 6 or 7 years befoe we will see the benefit of a more holistic approach, as the article mentions the 8-11 age group as the first focus.

knives are coming out
I wondered how long before the knives would come out and our new CEO would become a target for the discontented.
Not as long as I thought based on the comments on various posts.

Attractive style of football as a requirement for all teams, from youth to adults, and aiding the transition of players from Youth Teams up to the First Team, so that we don't continually lose promising young players.
Surely nobody can argue with that as a worthwhile aim.

It drives me nuts when going on holiday and the Reps, speaking to the holiday makers, use the word 'yourselves' instead of just 'you'.

We've all asked for more transparncy from the club and LD has clearly done that since she's joined
I know everyone wants the manager confirmed and signings made but whilst this is ongoing I think it's quite interesting to hear what else is happeneing

I like what she is saying. Interestingly East Mains is now an academy not just a training centre. Also if all these things are so obvious why did it not happen under Petrie?
