With some combination of mcpake, mcdonaugh and boozy?
Can't believe i m saying this as i don't like changing manager. I wanted fenlon to stay and likewise hughes and mixu. But long ball doesn't work. Crosses from 30 yards out are simple to defend. Relying on mcgivern to create your chances doesn't make sense. We have won 1 in 18 playing that way so doing it over and over again won't help. Stanton is having to learn a whole new way to play. At one point he picked the ball up 20 yards out with 2 strikers in front of him. Instead of playing someone in he played it sideways for mcgivern to cross.
The main risk to it is if we stick with the long balls. Championship teams will be fine with that. Let s put our faith in some guys who know our club and know how to play the game.

If we carry on with the same tactics we just have to hope we get some luck or a refereeing decision going our way.
