Right lads here's the tactics for Killie on Saturday.
1 Please pump high balls up in the general direction of the box. This will provide good training for their defence.
2. When you are 30 yards out facing the goal push the ball out to the wings so a floaty aimless cross can be mopped up by their keeper and back line
But boss. How are those tactics going to get us a goal?
Sorry lads. I know this system has only brought us 8 points from the last 54. But I figure if I keep changing the lineup and stick to the same tactics we will eventually get lucky.

PS, and remember Maurice will scream and swear at you from the touchline, every club will go this way eventually, one day he will be as good as Billy Broon at this sort of thing - it's bound to work sometime.

We had 18 attempts on goal against Ross County. That suggests that our problem isn't how we get to goal, it's what we do when we get there.

Clear header in the 2nd half sent wide and lots of pressure - just not enough guile to break down a solid defence or that lucky break we need so badly.
We are creating chances, but it's no ****** good if we can't score them.
Saturday is going to be very, very tense.

Butcher has had no choice but to change the team, he can hardly be taking pelters for that.

This might sound crazy but why don't we stick Nelson up top instead of Cummings or Collins? In fact, any spare centre half will do.
We desperately need a big man to hold the ball up and flick the ball on when it's played from the back. We also need someone to get on the end of these powder puff, floaty crosses we specialise in.
We need a big centre forward to compliment these players but we can't buy one. We won't need one once Butcher gets his own players in so this can be a stop gap.
There. I've just kept us up.

Against killie regardless of peoples personal feelings about nelson he must come back in and start as along with Forster he is the only one who causes problems in the opposition's box.
I'd go with a backline of Forster mcpake nelson Mcgivern as mcpake wears his heart on his sleeve and also is decent in the air

I personally would have Butcher and Malpas in the starting line-up and leave Collins to shout at everybody from the touchline.
