I thought he went for Thomson. Was there any need for him to go to ground and challenge like that

Collins never touched the ball once in those 5 minutes.

Still waiting, as there certainly wasn't any 'highlights' there!

He catches thommo with his trailing leg but a poor challenge nonetheless.

From a Hibs perspective, it would be a breach of the advertising code to describe those moments as highlights.

First goal, Forster must have thought he was still playing RB...he was posted missing.

Second goal, Forster thought he was playing RB and was Daniel alves.

Having said all that the shape was all over the place first half.

Cummings, Thomson, Harris, Stanton and Watmore must start derby. Hopefully Robertson too.

He didn't have much more involvement in the other 52 minutes that he was on the field either.

Scary how much of a mess we were from kick off. Nelson was absolutely miles away from Thompson and Forster nowhere to be seen to stop the knock down.

What about Nelson's "challenge" for the high hoof into the box for the first goal? Any bets there will be one of those high balls into our box at the earliest (and every) opportunity when we play our next 4 games (and/or the play-off). Pub team defending. What can any manager do about stuff like that, apart from drop the player? Every player/team makes mistakes. Even the very best ones. But that was ridiculous.

Stupid challenge to make. He made the ref make a decision. I thought it was no more than a yellow but I'm not the ref. He has got away with a good few over the years so its a risk you take being a thug. They will appeal with it being a straight red and win it.

Forster, when he loses the ball for the second goal decides to take a nice easy slow jog back to watch St. Mitten score. Pub team stuff.
Posted missing for the first as well.
A worrying lack of desire in a young player.
Probably better putting McGivern in at centre half (scary thought) on Sunday as Forster is clearly not up for a battle.

They weren't but we were ***** as usual in the final third and really ***** at the goals. Williams had one save to make and pick it out the onion bag twice.

Nelson and Forster are awful. They gifted St Mirren those two goals.

Not pretty viewing, Forster had a poor game, that said so did most of them. I am also pretty reluctant to be critical of him, for a young player he has done well for us this season and it can't be easy getting pulled from position to position given the pressure we are under, furthermore he has contributed more in terms of goals that most of our strikers / entire squad.

A comment which proves you should never think the BBC highlights give an accurate reflection of the game. Onjce our subs were on we were better than they've shown us to be.

Mind you, we were honking though

The pedestrian defending, lack of desire and inability to mark the opposition players in those 2 goals is simply astounding. Are this lot trying to get us relegated To start a crucial game in that manner is abysmal. We were playing against St Mirren FFS and against 10 men for an hour. A total disgrace.

A lack of ability can be forgiven but the lack of effort shown there is a disgrace.
    He just does not care.

Agree. Jordan is one of the players that will actually be hurting.

    100%

Looking at the stats we had twice as many shots, the same number on Target. They had only 2% more possession and we had 13 corners to their 2. This shows me we are getting forward enough we just aren't finishing them. It sounds daft but our problem is not scoring and making it too easy for the other team to score. Context is everything though and they only had 10 men for 2/3rds of the match.

    Possession

    St Mirren 52% - 48% Hibernian

    Shots

    St Mirren 7 - 14 Hibernian

    On target

    St Mirren 4 - 4 Hibernian

    Corners

    St Mirren 2 - 13 Hibernian

I did say that but I'm trying to be a little bit more pragmatic than trying to sum it all up in a sentence.

If it was the fans running the club then Butcher and Malpas would be gone, Petrie would be too (along with his SFA job) the East Stand would have been demolished, East Mains would have been sold and we'd be £2-5m in the hole because we'd be spending money we don't have. Easter Road would still be half empty and we'd still be crap.
