I had it 8-4 or 7-5 mayweather. Maidana started off great but Floyd did what he always does - figures the other guy out then picks them off.

Maidana always felt to me like he'd do something crazy and lose points.

As for the draw judge. What do these people see?

Maidana has to have a rematch. There's not really anyone to fight in September. Khan has Ramadan and PAC won't happen.

There's a million and one reasons, some petty, some serious.

Mayweather hates Bob Arum, head of Top Rank, who is Pacquaios promoter. No one really knows the full story but Mayweather insists Arum owes him a lot of money from early on in his career and ripped him off big time and he won't work with him again. I tend to believe there is some truth in that reason. Mayweather was accused of 'ducking' Miguel Cotto for about 2 years as he refused to fight him whilst Arum promoted him. As soon as Cotto split from Arum the fight happened.

Freddie Roach recently admitted that himself and Pacquaio turned down the only solid offer for the fight. Mayweather offered a flat $40M but Pacquaio et al felt they were worth more than that. Since then he firmly blames Mayweather for it not happening.

There have been a load of excuses thrown back and forward but I think the key reason is that neither wants to be seen as the one who backed down and neither wants to lose. Personally I've never thought Pacquaio could beat Mayweather, still don't, but it would have been nice to have had it answered definitively.

    Indeed.

Seems to have finally managed to stop letting Groves wind him up. Sports psychologist must be earning his cash.

Fly down to London on Friday evening. Can't wait.

I'm jealous. I'm still hoping for a Froch win by KO, but I think Groves will prob win it.

Froch will destroy him within 6 rounds, thing is, I want Groves to win! I'm expecting something similar to Gatti - Ward, can't see it going the distance.

What time is the fight scheduled to start guys? Thinking of PPV but I need to pick the Mrs up on Saturday night (and with my luck this will clash with the fight!)

Box Office programme starts at 6.

I'm expecting Froch v Groves ringwalks to start about 9.30ish.

Said I wouldn't watch the fight after the first fight but with the build up you can't help but be gripped.

Can't stand Eddy Hearn but he's some business man.

Unfortunately think Froch will win with a stoppage, really hope I'm wrong.

I hope I'm very much mistaken, but, I've got a strange feeling this could end up in a huge anti-climax.

Joshua KO inside a minute and a half.

Tbf the other guy loaded up with a few big shots and had a go but Joshua caught him with a big uppercut to finish it.

    Kevin Mitchell TKO in 11.

Was in real trouble but stepped it up in 11 and picked off an exhausted opponent.

Been a good event to watch so far, De Gale is always worth a watch too

  23. #52
    Very early stoppage there imo.

Good finish by Degale though, didn't think he was that impressive outwith the 1st round and the finish though.

    Far too early that one

  26. #55
Too early for Degale fight, not seen anyone stopped after a miss before :). He was gonna knock him out though, best I've seen him fight.

2-tome world champ, doesn't get the credit he deserves IMO. Good performance.
