    Player(?) help.

This shirt was supposedly worn in a friendly against an FC Lorient team in 2001, I've had a look at the squad for said game but don't have a clue who would have worn this.

    Does anyone have a clue?

Got me stumped I'm afraid. Hibs did play a 'trialist' against Lorient but it was Soren Frandsen

Edit: I'm guessing the name on the strip is Gudmundsson but have no recollection of him

Second edit: Dug about a bit and found that Icelandic player Haraldur Freyr Gudmundsson, a defender, was given a trial run in 2009/10 under Yogi but that seems far too late from the dates you gave

Why would a player wear a squad number for a friendly?

    Yep, seems very strange.

Here's a report, Frandsen on trial as Jonnyboy says. http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Footba......-a076594695

The shirt has spl branding on it as well, not sure if we'd have had that, particularly the patches, for a friendly.

Former Nottingham Forest striker Jean Claude Darcheville - tracked by McLeish last term - split the Hibs defence with a darting run and laid off to Le Pen on the edge of the box.
