Just put a deposit (refundable) on a car that i get discouted through work (lloyds).
Haven't seen it in the flesh (its in Birmingham) and its a Mercedes C 220d CDI Exec Estate.
Its 12 months old exactly and has leather seats, upgraded alloys etc.
Its £16995. Wife is away with kids for two days. I fear some backlash but picture look great and book price for car, age is £22,595.
Good decision, or time to back off..??!

your wife wont go away again if you spend that sort of money when she goes away !!
take it has an above average mileage to be that price ???
if you can afford then why not ,you only live once (or several times through a divorce when you have spent all the money!)

Mileage high 31k for 1 year driving. Will be private purchase so no tax implications..
They keep the best cars that staff use (as company cars) and tidy up, service etc and sell back to staff.

Seems a good deal! If she goes nuts and packs your bags, it's an estate! 😝

Changed my mind last minute and went for a BMW 320d Sport (16 months old). Get next weekend. Fairly nippy and fantastic drive. Looks good as well.
Wife now home and expecting something in return. Told her to get some make up on, get the kids to bed and she might get lucky... Ok reality is different...under pressure..

Now driving a VW cc gt which is an amazing piece if kit, plenty of gadgets and superbly fast but with it being an auto it's added around £70 a month on the company car tax bill.

Got the 320d sport yesterday, fantastic car, just love it!
Feels much quicker than my previous 318d.
Only down side to the day was handing my car into we buy any car. Absolute sharks, and totally screwed me for £600. Will never use them again and go out of my way to pass on my bad experience to everyone i know.
