Colleague of mine was talking to a guy in the pub who said he was an ex-Hearts player in the 70's who ended up playing in America around about the same time as Pele and Bobby Moore. He said his name was Andy, but that's all he gave away. Only one I could think of was Andy Lynch, but we've decided it wasn't him. Can anyone remember any other Andys who went over at that time?

Andy Lynch certainly played in America after leaving Celtic. Can't think of any other Andy's that played for Hearts in the 70's, not for the first team anyway

Both Eric Carruthers and Alfie Conn Jnr. played in the States during the winter and Australia during the summer at the end of their careers. Conn was also the first player, post war, to play for both of the ugly sisters.

Andy Driver certainly played in America. He doesn't look that old though!
