So Ronaldo is better than Messi now or are they just wanting a change?

Ronaldo is the best player in the world right now, deserved.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25719657 how a PROFESSIONAL football should be. Always trying to better himself , day by day. My dad coached our primary school team (im from Galashiels) and John Collins did the foreword in our first league game. He said you must have the 3 D's, discipline, determination and dedication.

Two fabulous players, I agree that Ronaldo absolutely deserved it this time but that link suggests Messi is the marginally better passer...at least statistically.

Ronaldo is an incredible talent, a superstar; the athlete.
Messi is an incredible talent, he possesses qualities I've never seen before in any football player; the artist

Comes down to a matter of choice for me. I much prefer Messi as a player. Don't get me wrong, both exceptional players, but having watched Messi fresh from injury the other night against Getafe, banging in two goals and running the show sums up just how good he is!

That Zlatan goal is always a pleasure to watch.. I'm completely biased though!!!!

There was only a 3% difference in votes between Messi and Ronaldo, despite Messi being on the sidelines for part of the year. I do not doubt that Ronaldo had the better year, but when they are both fit and firing Messi is better as an all round player.

Absolutely delighted for the guy, great player, feels he lacks confidence, imagine how confident he will be now! He's only going to get better!

I get the feeling that for Messi, this all comes somewhat naturally, whereas Ronaldo has been away, constantly working to improve to try and better him.
Not that I'm saying that Messi doesn't train as hard as anyone, or that Ronaldo isn't naturally gifted. Just they do strike me as that sort of rivalry.
