    Level Playing Field

    Quote from Sickback.......

'Level playing field to Hibs = spending £200k on a striker and playing against an under 20s side

That's the kind of level playing field that built the British Empire'.

.....very short memories of those utter ****bag numpties - not sure going £28m into debt and paying obscene wages to win a couple of cups equals level playing fields!

First nail in the coffin from Hibernian FC feels so sweet

They are beyond stupid, its embarrassing to read. Right now is a level playing field, both clubs living within their means and we are much better, simple as that.

When did we play an under 20 side? Hammil, Mcdonald and Stevenson all had had paper rounds, eh?

The truth is they only had 2 teenagers in their starting line up and the average age was 22. Personally I would take Forster and Cummings over any of their so called golden generation. That said, Walker could end up a decent player. Locke needs to grow some balls and admit he was wrong about both penalty decisions.

    Good point.

What was the average age of their team last night?

    Edit - 22

If you were to take Nelson (and sub Heffernan) out of our team don't we'd be that much ahead of them age wise

No, we've got this all wrong. They passed us in the league in November 2013

They told me back in July that this was a FACT

    Do keep up

Let's not pretend that there is a level playing field now. Prior to the beginning of their downfall, they were nose-bleedingly clinging to the top of the hill while we were clinging to the bottom by our fingernails. The playing field certainly started to level out but instead of stopping, it kept going till they started to slide uncontrollably downwards. A signing ban, a 15 pt penalty, a duff management team and general uncertainty about their future has tilted the playing field, grossly in our favour......... I'm not complaining about this poetic justice but if truth be told, we should have had them in our pockets all season.

Seen a few yams slating Rangers fans on FB last night (after they said they're looking forward to beating them in the league next season), given the Huns it tight, calling THEM CHEATS.

    Pot, Kettle?

    Fuds.

I wouldn't agree that it's a level playing field just now. We are living within our means, Hearts are clinging on for survival.

We beat them 1st round of the SC last season, barely a few competitive fixtures apart from the final.
Straight away, there was a more level playing field - And we never lost all season in 5 games against them (and should have won the game Sparkys goal wasn't given)....
this season's 2 wins they've had, were effectively with their only shot on goal, Pure spawny wins - but it happens.

Fact is, since the final, we have had the upper hand. Level playing field since, if it has tilted in our favour, then that's only the START of fixing the unbalance we've endured over the years !

They are finally living within their means. Thus, it's a level playing field.
