Always wanted to do one of these: any suggestions for places to watch the derby in Marrakech?

I'm no expert on the place but I'd have thought you'd be struggling. Was there a few years ago and there's no bars or anything in the main square. I'm pressuming that's the case all over the city.

If there's no other games on your best bet will probably be your hotel

I was in Marrakech a couple of months ago and although there are some bars (e.g. Le 6 on Avenue Mohammad VI) they do not tend to show football. If you like a lot of coffee then some of the (non-alcohol) coffee shops do show football. Then again, they tend to show either Moroccan or French football so unless Zemmama re-signs before the derby you may be out of luck.

A guy I used to work beside told me that a coffee shop in Marrakech was showing an Inverness v celtc game when he was there, about 3 years ago. The plus point might be that there are no other major European league games on that night according to this, although the UAE or Saudi Arabian games might be popular....

An old fella from my work is heading off to New York and fancied trying to watch the derby somewhere, he's staying near the financial district anyone know any bars that will defo be showing it either there or anywhere else in Manhattan. Cheers guys.
