Is it just me or do we nearly always end up playing towards the south in the first half and the Famous Five in the second?
I assume this might be because we wanted to play down the old slope?
(Not the most insightful post but just something I've always wondered about)

Down the slope?

I've always assumed it was a 'tradition' of sorts; a hangover from the days of playing down the slope in the second half.
It does, though, also mean that Hibs can play towards their own fans in the second half and I'm sure the away teams' captains have a similar view regarding their own fans should they win the coin toss.

Stokes 12 second goal against rangers (rip) 09-10 is the last I can think of but I'd be amazed if there haven't been few since. Actually 3 3 United game in 2011.
