Thread: James Collins

    James Collins

    Take a bow son.

Worked his socks off for 90+ minutes. Deserves a goal soon.

Whole team was outstanding today. Wasn't pretty but was gritty and showed real fight and determination.

I like what I have seen of James, he'll break out of this barren streak soon enough as long as he keeps up this work rate.

    Yep.

He's winning the fans round. He got nothing but encouragement from those around me today and a couple of great ovations when he got close to us.

Only heard great things about him today! I think he has been terrible so far, but sounds like in the last 2 games Tel has got more out of him, good to hear.

    Left by mutual consent!
Hope he keeps it up and well & truly shuts up his critics who have been on his backs since he arrived(including myself).

    Well played today, James.

While I don't knock him for "working his socks off" I do like to see attackers score...

Going by what everyone's saying and by the highlights I saw on TV, mark my words - James Collins will start scoring for Hibs very soon.

You've got more chance of scoring when chances are being created. Let's judge him when that starts happening - him and heffernan have scored a similar number of goals but both will score more when thy don't have to create everything for themselves.

Any striker would struggle to score when they never had the ammo, hibs problems in the past were we signed target men and never hit them with the ball.

I like James a lot and just feel he's been lacking confidence and service. He's been having to come very deep to get the ball which means he's not in the box to score

Amazing what happens when you give a striker some service

Yesterday he was superb. I like him and think when he gets better service he will score frequently.......He does come deep, and when he set up chance for Lewis, Collins got ball from wide left position......

Hibs have players in the right positions. Collins as the striker being supported by Handling in the number 10 position

Wasn't there so can't comment .He was brought in to score goals so he needs to start doing that but if your saying his overall play is improving ie first touch and control is improving then hopefully goals will come

Showed some lovely control and touches at times. A real improvement and was a handful for County all day.......

Clearly the malpas coaching skills we were told about are bearing fruit then Will make the trip from Paisley on Saturday and see if they can now do something about our dreadful home form .

Had a great game yesterday. He reminded me of Kenny Miller, full of running and energy. The lad is only 22. We need to give the laddie time. There is defo a decent player in there. Hopefully he strives under Butcher.
