WC Play off game - MEX v NZ

3-0 for Mexico after 50 mins currently live on Premier Sports, looks like that tie is over.

105,000 crowd according to the commentator, still plenty space that could be filled.

I'm surprised that Mexico found it so easy considering they were absolutely hopeless in the hexagonal qualification stage for the CONCACAF qualifying section. Very lucky to even be in the play-offs, I'm guessing New Zealand have most likely regressed?

Every single player in the Mexico squad for this game plays in Mexico, all 23 of them. Left out some of their big stars like Ochoa, Hernandez and Dos Santos. Very good result for them.

Jordan 0-5 Uruguay. Looks like that tie is over already.

That Juan Kar boy from Betis would enjoy playing with those two!

Really didn't fancy the All Whites, they lost their captain last week and have had only two training sessions together as a team in preparation for the game.

Most of the guys had a nightmare journey which took approx. 30 hours via Auckland, LA, Mexico less than 48 hrs before the game (combined with the heat, huge crowd) - a lot of factors which added up against them.

Backed Mexico -2 & -3 goals as I really felt it would be too big an occassion for the Kiwi's (2/1 & 7/2).

Shame, because it would have been a cracking match at the Cake Tin if the score had been close for the second leg.
