Not sure about him, did well in his early days in Scotland then down at Plymouth & Southend but wouldn't be on my immediate list of potential next manager.

These suggestions just get worse, thankfully nobody on here gets to choose the next manager either

Nah. If we want someone to come in and steady the ship with 4-4-2 there are old hands aplenty.

Worked wonders at Southend on no budget whatsoever. The club just about stays a float each month at the minute as finances are dire. Led them to the JPT final before being bizarrely sacked. He can definitely get the most out of players. Having said all that I still think we should be aiming higher for the Hibs managers job imo.

Take him in a heartbeat, fantastic manager, aand one ive wanted at Hibs for some time.
His teams play attacking football and he will take no *****.
St Johnstone - Promotion
Dundee Utd - 3rd
Plymouth - Promotion x 2 (Won league twice)
Southampton - Only lasted a few months - only blot on his CV
Sheff Wed - Took over with them near bottom - ended season promoted
Swindon - Took over with them bottom half, ended the season Champions
Plymouth - Highesst position in English football ladder in 30 years
Southend - smallest budget in league, play offs first season, sitting in play offs and in a cup final when he left in second season.
Imagine wanting a winner who's teams attackand who has plenty experience In charge?? Lets just go for Kenny Shiels....

First Shiels and now Sturrock? Do we have an ears fetish? Or are we just trying to hire any manager who looks like a trophy?

Petrie likes him. Has approached him at various points though not sure how recently. Last approach I know of was in 2004 when Blobby left. All approaches have been met with a "thanks but no thanks" though his stock was a lot higher 10 and 15 years ago than it is now.
