Give yourself plenty of time to get to the stadium - remember it's a 7pm kick off!
I have no problem with this - hopefully Hibs fans behave as the media are looking for any flare / smoke bomb related stories right now as it's a hot topic.
Let's keep Hibs out the news for the wrong reasons and just support the team without incident and just win the game

Flares? Surely some mistake?
Everyone knows they will be in nylon shell suits or for the older Yam, brown cords and matching maroon cardigan

It doesnt seem feasible to search every person unless it is extremely organised.

If I see another fan in Scottish football say "ACAB HEAVY HANDS EMPTY STANDS FANS NOT CRIMINALS" I'll tear my hair out. Mostly because the people staying it are letting off smoke bombs knowing it's illegal. Yet the police are in the wrong? Give over they are only doing as they are told.
Until legal don't complain if you are in trouble because of them.

If someone sets of a SB/flare and gets lifted then they will have no arguement, however kettling a group of Celtic fans (and most recently Motherwell fans) and not letting them move, not letting dads collect their kids etc is a disgrace. Police waiting at Glasgow airport for a man to arrive home from holiday, have him flung to the floor infront of his kids for having sung a song at a match previously, arrested him to only have the case literally laughed out of court. I'm pretty sure that is more the reason for Heavy Hands Empty Stands etc.Last edited by frazeHFC; 28-10-2013 at 06:02 PM.

"Anyone who is caught with a flare or firework can expect to be arrested, either at the time, or as a result of a post-match investigation. As well as receiving a criminal conviction, they may very well find themselves being banned from attending future matches throughout the country.”
Talk like that will only encourage people, the promise of a ban from watching that ***** sounds to good an offer to miss at the moment

Do not select clothing from your 70's wardrobe for Wednesday
Officers will be carrying out searches outside Easter Road stadium, and a specialist search dog, capable of detecting flares, will also be used
You have been warned

WARNING
Any poster suggesting flares and smoke bombs are the same thing is likely to be leapt upon by the pedantry brigade accusing you of being braindead because you don't know they're different things. And if that brigade doesn't get you the 'it improves the atmosphere brigade', surely will
You have been warnedThis is how it feels

Simple solution - anyone found with a smoke bomb, flare, hand grenade or similar should be thrown in a cell and the offending article then lit and flung in after them before the door is locked until Thursday morning. The individual involved will be able to appreciate the atmosphere in private.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.
