Lets be honest Gordon Strachan and John Robertson should have plied their trade in the green and white at ER.

David platt from Crewe but they changed the price at last minute and we refused to pay the extra... Think it was 25 grand or so. Moved to Villa then Bari-Juve etc

If only he'd jumped off that No 26 at the top of ERThis is how it feels

Tommy Coyne to play alongside Keith Wright. They had an amazing partnership at Dundee (something like 50 goals between them one season) and I'd like to have seen them together at ER.

Joe Jordon from Morton for 30k instead of the 45k we paid St Mirren for Jim Blair in 1970.
Gordon McQueen for 30k in 1972, what an addition that would have been to the TT's & he would have been a better bet against Dixie Deans.
Gordon Strachan is a no brainer, Andy Gray [preferably] or John Duncan instead of Joe Harper.
But the main one would have been Alex Ferguson after ST Mirren emptied him in 1978, ET's Hibs team was tired by this time and had been in decline. Even if ET moved fully to the boardroom, he would never have agreed to him coming to ER, after the Alex Cropley incident.
Offered St Johnstone the 120K for Ally McCoist instead of John Brogan.Last edited by Ray_; 09-10-2013 at 08:56 PM.

Pleaded to anyone in the street that would listen that Adam La Fondre should be snapped up while at Rotherham about 18 month prior to his move to Reading.

Brian Kerr would have been a coup.
We missed out there.

Chris Maguire. Good wee player who probably should have stayed in the SPL for a couple of more season before trying his luck down south.
