    Duns 1 v 2 Hibs U20 FT

For poor souls like me who can't make it up to Inverness, does anyone know if the scheduled U20's game v Duns is on tomorrow? Might pop down

    Duns 1 Hibernian U20's 2 (FT)

Hibs won 2-1 at Duns coming back from a goal down in the second half with goals from number 10 & Number 3 with a penalty that looked a bit soft.

Pretty even game, Duns did really well to compete to last minute against a full time team with Mullen & Cairney both playing 90 minutes. Both had pretty quiet games, Cairney still looks like he needs time to get fitness.

Crowd of about 80/100 at Berwickshire High School - not a bad afternoons entertainment, kick off delayed 5 minutes because ref forgot to bring the ball out - 2 teams and ref lined up at kick off with no ball, you can't make it up !

Hibs U20's now 6 wins out of 6

    Thoroughly enjoyed that today.

Cairney was quiet but got a much needed 90 minutes

Baptie was outstanding from start to finish. Played left back, defended well and excellent going forward. One to watch IMO

I'd imagine he will Billy. He needs the minutes on the park after such a lengthy layoff

I've been to a couple of E of S league games this season (not involving Hibs) and the Referees are on a hiding to nothing as if there are any linesmen in the first place, then they're not allowed to rule on offside decisions. Mayhem can ensue and on a couple of occasions has!

It's a bizarre experience watching a game with no linesmen. Even more bizarre trying to play in one as a defender. Makes the defensive line very difficult to hold as you're always worried the attacker is gonna ghost in and the ref won't spot it. Mind you, I suppose that's not really any different to a professional game

I've been pleasantly surprised at the standard of the football. Fitness levels are maybe not always what they should be but the teams have at least tried to play the game the way it should be played. Passing not hoofball was the order of the day and there has been some enterprising periods of play. Goals and chances galore ------------- not something that's been much in evidence at ER for a few years now!

Went along with my brother, was a good game all in all. Duns done fairly well to keep up fitness for the full 90 against us. From the weight Cairney looked to have lost preseason, seems to have put a bit back on during the layoff. Both him and Mullen were both fairly quiet. Judging by the updates the folk next to me were giving, it was more enjoyable than the 1st teams game!

Strangely, I thought he'd trimmed down a bit. Still got that big backside but I reckon that's just the way he's made
