The greatest player I have ever seen play in the famous green & white jersey.
He was and is my boyhood hero and I have luckily had the chance to meet & speak with the great man on numerous occassions. As a result I found out not only was he a great player but is an absolute gem of a guy.( I Wonder how many people have been disappointed to find out their boyhood hero is in fact a complete plum?)
The word LEGEND is used to often but in the case of PGS it truely applies
Have a fantastic birthday, I salute you

Happy Birthday Pat, wish we had you in oor team now. You are and always will be a Hibs Legend, in the truest sense of the word
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Happy birthday Pat. Hope you have many more to come and you get to watch us win that cup.

In honor of the great man, I'm attempting to attach a scan from the Scottish Football Book No. 16 (anyone remember those?). This was Season 1969-1970 and Pat had been voted player of the year by the Scottish Football Writers Association.
Apologies if this attachment thingy doesn't work. Haven't tried it on here before.
Happy Birthday Sir Pat

Many happy returns Pat.
Watched King Paddy from a young player in the 1960's. He truly was class in every sense of the word. Graceful with the ball at his feet, brilliant passer, great in the air and a hard tackler (something which is forgotten when summarising his glorious abilities.) Read the game from start to finish. His comparisons with Bobby Moore were not exaggerated. My top football hero of all time.
Happy birthday to a true Hibby legend. There is only one Pat Stanton.
