Only having cooncil telly I'm not watching the transfer day shenanigns, but caught a bit of BBC2's Incredible Spice Boys with a Scottish curry chef called Tony Singh. He made spicy Scotch pies which he punted at Easter Road on matchday. Anyone know anything about this?

Aye. Cold pastry and about 4 bits of lukewarm chicken.

Looked good and seemed to go down well. Never seen anything on Saturday. They were mince pies, not chicken. At least the ones they showed were

They were giving out free samples in the clip on TV. I never noticed anything going on in the East on Saturday. I didn't get in until just before 3 however. Everyone said they were far nicer than the normal pies. Admittedly not the greatest accolade

Chicken balti pies are a mainstay of grounds down here. If they started selling curried Scotch pies at ER then I'd buy a season ticket!

I am SO PLEASED and EXCITED that the Great and Good who run Hibernian are capable of such progressive, out-of-the-box thinking.
SPICY PIES!
Whatever next - individually scented shower-gel for the players apres-match ablutions?
I am SO HAPPY that Tom and Rod and the Boys have their priorities so on target.

Quick. Stop selling pies or the 'fans' will demand a meeting.Last edited by Iggy Pope; 03-09-2013 at 04:57 PM.

I wished Hibs would buy their mince pies from Baines or Simpsons. They pies are the best pies.

YOU should be so lucky!
I did offer to bring it along, but I was told it couldn't go onto the menu as a main course - it had to go in as a dessert, which isn't it's normal position in the line-up.
And anything with balls doesn't fit in at ER these days.

Not got a season ticket for this year as I'm moving to Glasgow next week.
If Hibs got Storries to do the pies, with the normal prices I'd renew right away.
