    Built on top of the old ash hockey pitches and bottom fields. The new AstroTurf pitch is built on the old p.e hall. The rest of the old school was lost to housing including the top rugby pitches and farmers field that backed on to the maybury rd. such a shame. A landmark lost forever. :{

    When I was there one of the janitors got his leg broken by 6 formers who were carrying out leaving day pranks.

    Andrew Vass was an amazing teacher. More than 30 years on, I still remember vividly a lesson on the Reformation which he conducted as if he was a Church of Scotland Minister. Absolute genius. I think he retired a couple of years ago.

    He used to stay in the broomhall area very near to where I grew up. Didn't know he had retired. I did like him as a teacher.
