Cup Parade Monday 27th May (If we actually do it this time)

As the title says it is Monday for the parade, hope to see you all there!

Sorry if this is old news, can't see it anywhere on the forum.

I know it's a holiday, but it's not a holiday that a lot of people will get. I thought they might have made it nearer 5pm tbh.

I was hoping it would be the Sunday night or even the following Saturday. I start a new job on the 27th May. Least I have a ticket for the final but defo not drinking. Will be very hard if we do the unthinkable though!!

We can expect a poor turn out then with it being early

    That's ridiculous.

Kids are at school so will miss it. And a lot of people will be working as well if they didn't request it off.

Should have been 6pm leave, get to ER about 7:00 and party from there.

I don't want to moan I really really don't, but its a shame kids will miss out

Now you mention it that time may well be the driver's sign on time, can you remove the start time until I get more details tomorrow? I got the info from a colleague.

I suspect it's a council and police decision. And you know what that means...............

Why not have it the following Saturday? A week to party then a brilliant day oot at the weekend. This smacks of Edinburgh Polis to be honest.

Hopefully start time will be later so that those at work or school have a chance of seeing it..... If we do it of course!

It's not a school holiday, it is a week earlier. So will have to take my son out of school and he will get an unauthorised absence, so a lot of kids will be missing school ;o)

If we win it I'll be lying pished in a gutter somewhere in Leith. I hope they have the sense to put the temporary railings around me.

If we win I'm not even sure where I'll be in all fairness, i just know I'll lose my mind.

8/11 odds I'll be shacked up in a casino in Basildon offering sexual favours to midgets in return for digestive biscuits whilst wearing a thong, a leather jacket and a daffodil up each nostril and singing Michael Bolton songs.

IF.....MASSIVE IF...we ever win this stupid thing...I can imagine fans partying Sunday after the game in Leith and through till Monday...basically an unofficial street party If it does happen Edinburgh will have never seen anything like it

But what you going to do if we win?

I'm very confused. Where does it say the time of the parade? If it's 5/6 o'clock why will the kids have to stay off school? Did Man U not have a parade yesterday? Seemed to work well to me and it wasn't even a holiday .

I don't even want to contemplate that.....the only certainty is that my wage slip, underneath "basic pay", will contain the words "unauthorised unpaid leave". NAP.

It was mistakenly announced as a 12 o'clock parade time is still to be announced
