Yeah, just saw the headline in the shop - not a massive loss on his most recent form, though I would rather everyone were fit, obviously.

To be honest, on recent form I'd be picking Maybury anyway.. but as said, a full squad would still be ideal

Time for Maybury to step up and become a Hibs legend and a Hearts hate figure.

Mayburys performance on Sunday was better than anything Clancy has put in this season.

Maybury has been a solid pro for us this season and I think his experience will do us well.

The Clancy v Maybury debate is an interesting one. I'm not overly convinced by either but that is for another time as one of them has to play in the cup final as we have no other viable option. Unless we go with Stevenson but would rather go into the biggest game of our season with players playing natural positions where possible.

When Maybury is on form he is actually ok and is a solid pro who can produce better than anything that I have seen from Clancy. However, Maybury seems more prone to mistakes, giving away goals, penalities etc and seems to be more likely to be exposed for pace than Clancy.

Tough choice between the two of them. Not really much in it.

He won't be match fit even if physically fit.

Maybury or Lewis in. Both if the ref isn't looking.

Given the absolute shocker Clancy had in the full 120 minutes of the semi-final I think this would be a good thing. Maybury for me.

Andy Black - exciting player but not ready at this level yet. Spell on loan will do him the world of good, even another year in the U20's. Very quick, good feet, but very slight in physique.

No matter whether Clancy is fit can people stop suggesting Lewis at right back. Totally ridic. I would rather Spoony than that option.

Could possibly be the most thought provoking hibs.net debate since Maka or McNeil.

    I prefer Maybury.

I'm delighted for him after the unwarranted stick he's received from some purely because he played with Hearts about ten years ago. Never let's the side down.

No coincidence that Teddy Maybury had arguably his best game for us on Sunday on a smaller, tight pitch.

I would be slightly nervous about how he could handle the Hampden turf, especially against pace.

FWIW I like him tho, I even started a chant at Killie in the SC. Not very original but hey ho!

It would be interesting to look at the team Fenlon's picked in the Scottish cup this year. Our goal scorers in the 1st 2 rounds, Spoony and Deegan, and Done who scored against Killie, could all miss out

I like Maybury but the thought of James Forrest running at him does fill me with fear.

Stevenson would play Forrest well, probably Commons or Samaras will play against our right back

If Maybury is on his game then I think he is better than Clancy this season any way but you have to worry about his lack of pace on the large pitch.

No - he's played there and played well too.

Played really well against Mackay-Steven, who had to swop wings

Was that 2-1 game? Don't recall, but pleasantly surprised. Still not a grrat fan of the idea.

Clancy out would be a big loss IMO. Heard PF on the radio seeming to say both he and McPake were doubts for Saturday.

I'd like to see Stevenson in the cup final starting eleven. No chance Celtic could put anyone out to match his workrate and enthusiasm and that's one thing you really need in such a big game.

A fit Clancy is better than a fit Maybury. Our downturn in defensive form coincided with his injury.

Thought it was obvious he was a centre half after that performance.
