Why don't we just do without one, players don't do what is asked of them anyway apparently.
Scouts and the board identify and sign players.
The Coach trains the players and could sort out the tactics that need to be ignored on matchday.
The Captain can deal with achieving a distinct lack of motivation.
The Chairman deals with budgets.
What do we need a manager for anyway?
