    Watering holes around hampden

I am helping to organise a bus to the semi and just wondering if anyone had recommendations for drinking around hampden and if there were spaces in any of the bowling clubs etc ideally closer to hampden the better given the early ko.

    Cheers

Don't know if they will have space but the Montford, the International, Kingswood bowling club, the Beechwood, the Smiddy, Mount Florida bowling club, the clockwork and the Florida Park are all within easy walking distance of the stadium.

The Queens Park Cafe at the top of Victoria Road is not a bad pub. About 15 mins walk to Hampden.

Been a couple of times, they're pretty strict on singing but ok on the colours. Was full before I got a chance to book :(

Why is the international out because of kids? I took a bus through last year to semi and final and kids got in no bother. Had to be there bang on 11 final day tho to get in. Brilliant wee place. Taking the car to semi this year so won't be having a drink but if I was it would definitely be the international

If you don't get anywhere mate, the Kings Park Hotel lets kids in and will take advance bookings for buses.

We went there in May and have booked in again for the semi. It's about 20 mins walk to the ground and they're happy for you to leave the bus in the car park if you wish.

Yeah it's because there are some kids going (11-14 year olds). That's what they said anyway.

Try church on the hill just off battlefield road. Ten minute walk to hampden. Phone ahead and they'll book you tables. Kids no problem. Loads big screens and food. Although limited selection
