With confidence, he'd have shot instead of passing all the time.

Didn't look too clever at all tonight.
He does well to create some space for himself, but then he takes the wrong option when the opportunity presents itself.
The Doyle that was playing at the beginning of the season would have taken a few of those shots on, instead of attempting to make passes that just weren't available.

Quite a few of our attacking players choose to check back when in advanced positions.
More to do with a lack of forward passing options than a lack of invention IMO.

"I did not need any persuasion to play for such a great club, the Hibs result is still one of the first I look for"

His decision not to shoot at times tonight certainly indicates to me that he is a player lacking in confidence and self belief.
When he first came to the club, although he never struck me as someone who was going to be a prolific goalscorer, he looked quite an intelligent player who made smart runs and created chances for others. I'm struggling to see that recently and it's quite a concern.

He is missing cairney who was instrumental in many of his not so many early season goals.
