    All For Goals and Glory

Was chatting to my mates (in the pub - as you do ) about great wins we've attended involving the Hibees.
Anyone been to all these ? Has anyone got the full set ?

    '72 league cup win
    Dryborough cup 1 win
    Dryborough cup 2 win
    Skol / league cup win
    CIS cup win
    6-2
    7-0

i missed the famous game in history regrettably. I was only 10 and not allowed to go on my own!
I was at the rest though.

Feel free to add to the list. (Eg Ivan hat trick.) We may have missed other major classics . We were well bladdered when we started this convo.

Apologies if this thread has been done to death before.

Only one I missed was 2007 CIS final - out of the country and couldn't avoid it - managed to see it live on telly in Girona with a few friends and a group of golfers from Stranraer who were supporting Killie for er.......... "masonic" reasons as one rejoiced in telling us. I have never seen such a large group of males drink so little in a couple of hours, welts in matching jumpers.

"I did not need any persuasion to play for such a great club, the Hibs result is still one of the first I look for"

Yes, was at them all! Jings, you've got me feeling like an uber fan (I'm not really, just auld).
You could add the Barcelona game from '61 to your list. Be good to hear from anyone who was at the 1st leg.

I would have added the LC win against Killie. Winning a cup and doing so with that scoreline and total domination of the game. You see, we can do it too

If you want to include high scoring games, there's the 7-0 against Livingston (2006?) and the 8-1 (1983) against Killie.

You missed the 1902 game. Doddie and Johnnyboy were both there. Can't remember which one gave the other one a liftover but I know that they travelled on the Hibs supporters pony and trap and had a great day.

Hibs 2 - Hearts 1 - Oct 1987. My first derby victory and the end of a long winless streak stretching back years! Goals from May and Kane I think.

Another big win: Hibs 9-0 Montrose in 2003, Stephen Dobbie got a hat-trick.

That's the same bus Mikey used to get us to Hampden for the SC final last year.
