Thumbs Up They're Up In Court Again (30th January)

This time it's the club itself........

127 BFE Electrical Testi - v - Heart of Midlothian

    Blacklocks SA3107/12
And as we know, Blacklocks specialise in debt collection.

    From here...........

    http://www.scotcourts.gov.uk/rolls/s.../EDI130130.htm

On a side note, Lloyds TSB is taking Leslie Deans & Co to court on the same day. I hope they've made a will

4 Lloyds TSB -v- Leslie Deans & Co

    Aberdein Considine & Co
    A729/12

    Simpson & Marwick - AXK/CMF?R161.00193/MH

No doubt they will settle at the last minute - tis what Big clubs do.
I see its in the small claims court - is there a max amount you can claim through small claims?

They'll have to cough or it'll result in a winding up order.

As I've posted earlier, Hearts have been putting pressure on those they owe money so they don't take them to court. This lot have obviously broken ranks while they think there's some money available. I wouldn't be too surprised if more follow suit before the bake sale money runs out.

Whatever it is they're due, it's obviously worth their while to pay Blacklocks' fees and at least see some of it.

Presumably Hearts will have been told that this is coming just to give them a last chance to pay?

If so, it seems odd that they wouldn't pay so they could avoid paying the additional fees. Unless there's nae loot left of course

Yes. Everyone is given fair notice, so that they can defend the claim.

Looking at the name of the company, it looks like they've stiffed the company that tests the electrical appliances in Tynie for suitability, as all business electrical equipment must every couple of years.

Can you imagine having to test the electrics in their Asbestos Stand???

Wondering if BetFred are quoting the double

I heard a rumour that in the last couple of days Deans has been seen furtively touring some of the city cemeteries.

Looks like he could be a 2013 version of Burke and Hare so if there are any corpses out there then please heed this warning.

Small claims court suggests this is small local business who's lively hoods depends upon getting cash in.

At the same time this ****my club have taken transfer fees, raised funds through other sources and have actually brought a player into the club.

A truly disgusting football club who know no shame. Edinburgh's disgrace.

By way of an update, this hearing will be nothing more than a dismissal as the liability has been settled. The business in question belongs to a member of my family. Absolutely disgusting that companies chasing that lot for cash are having to resort to court action as a simple debt collection measure.

Yep. At least the many other businesses due money know what they need to do to get quick payment, less Blacklocks' fees.

I'm not sure exactly, but I would hazard a guess at at least 6 months or so, given chats over the summer. Were continually getting fed the "cheque's in the post" line and, more recently, the line of "do you really want to be seen to be the one to tip us over the edge?" (not an exact quote incidentally).

ahh...the old emotional blackmail tactic....airdrie tried that trick with david murray for the paultry sun of 60 grand...it fell on deaf ears and thats why they're called airdrie utd now...your relative could have made himself a legend with one half of edinburgh....at the risk of making himself a target for the other half..
