Ha ha! Cracking post!
Was this not in the days before "not interfering with play" was introduced? How did they get away without an offside being given there?Last edited by Future17; 14-11-2012 at 01:11 PM.

Curse my ageing years. I'm 30 and a half by the way.
"Play for the name on the front of the jersey and the supporters will remember the name on the back"

There's a really awful, cheesy advert on tv here at the moment, where Bebeto is driving and daydreaming about that goal and the celebration, and there's some voice-over going on about time passing or something, then he stops and gets out the car, and gives the keys to his son, cos it's a gift.

Probably the most copied goal celebration in history.
Now as bloody annoying as folk who shout ' get in the hole ' every time somebody has a put at a golf tournament.
See .... I'm old and grumpy

Best thing about that celebration is that Bebeto and Romario hated each other yet you'd never know looking at it. I had a Deportivo shirt with Bebeto's name and number as a kid.
Nice one, I loved that shirt and it was my pride and joy. Good times and good memories .
