It's up to each venue at the moment. Arab Strap gig in Dunfermline had no requirements.

On seeing this post I had a squint on wikipedia to see what the current-line up is. Crikey!

I didn’t realise Steve Cradock is playing with them now. He’s a superb guitarist.

Arab Strap were excellent with some properly unexpected songs in the setlist.
This was the setlist in London last night (lifted from here but fits with my memory):

    The Turning of Our Bones
    Girls of Summer
    Compersion, Pt. 1
    New Birds
    Kebabylon
    Here Comes Comus!
    Piglet
    Love Detective
    Blackness
    Tears on Tour
    Direction of Strong Man
    Fable of the Urban Fox
    Screaming in the Trees
    Speed-Date
    The First Big Weekend

    Encore:
I Would've Liked Me a Lot Last Night
    Packs of Three
    The Shy Retirer

    Presumably the same in Dunfermline?

So currently getting ready to head to Glasgow this afternoon for Biffy at Glasgow Green. My first gig since The Proclaimers at the Castle in 2019. Been totally buzzing for it, and typically the weather looks horrendous
    Sure we’ll still enjoy it.

Doing it all again tomorrow with TRNSMT back in Glasgow.

Got Black Stone Cherry on the 18th at the Usher Hall, been so long without live gigs, also have The Virginmarys in Opium on 9th October, small venue but a cracking band from Macclesfield, great live.

First band I ever saw, in 1972 as support to Lindisfarne.

Collins turned into a pop star, but still one of the best drummers I've ever seen. Such a shame we'll never see that again.

Sorry I missed this. Not much use to you now but we didn't need an LFD or Vax status. We got our temperature taken on entry. Masks were pretty much nowhere to be seen. Most folk wore them to get in then took them off.

Agree he was also an underrated song writer When he teamed up with the late Great John Martyn when they were both going through partner separations they produced some great tracks

Transmit was horrible yesterday. Full of coked up weegie jakeballs, nasty atmosphere.

I’ll not be back. Full of absolute fannies

What did you expect through there, it's always like that, even when it was T in the Park.

My daughter fancied the Leeds Festival over Transmt for next year. Have you been there? Was wondering if they were all the same as I've never been and don't know anyone who has to ask.

Leeds isn’t that much better. You’re way better picking a mid sized festival as you’ll still get a few big bands but with a lot less fannies.

No bother. Barrowlands now requires passport for entry. They organsied the queue really well. Ticket pre check, temp taken, passport inspected (glanced) and tickets scanned.
One to note. Cash only at all bars. Not sure whether thats all the time or they had problems on the night. Very unusual.

Brilliant being back at a gig. Enthusiastic crown and fortunately John Grant maybe not the artiste of choice for the coked up neds, which is surprising given the huge amount of electro/techno in the set. I would think many of the club djs would have fun with some of his material. Maybe they do, but since I've not been in a club for decades, wouldnt know.
