The Libertines acoustic at Oran Mor this afternoon was incredible. Only £12.50 a ticket - missed out for a ticket for the actual this evening so it was a decent softener.
You found your God in a paper back, you get your history from the Union Jack, and all your brothers and sisters have gone and they won't come back.

I’m breaking my “no Hydro” rule for that one.

I hardly go to any gigs these days but that sounds amazing. They're both doing an open air gig in London as well with The Decemberists on the bill which is as good as it gets.

    Not bad at all!

I've got The Skids over here in May; but just got tickets for The Wedding Present's 35th anniversary of Bizarro gig when I'm back home in October.

Bizarro you say? Looks like I am now seeing The Wedding Present twice this year.

Managed to snag a couple of tickets for the Libertines at the Barrowlands in the pre sale this morning. Gave one to my mate for his 40th.

I might pay that to hear Eddie sing to me in my front room, but no sharing him with anyone else.

    Seated are the same :-)

Not many artists I would pay that for but they are one on the must see list.

I almost bought London tickets for Pearl Jam, but at £150 odd quid and the fact I found them a bit underwhelming at the O2 a few years back put me off.

Enjoy. They’re supporting The Wedding Present when they tour in May, a cracking double bill.

Dexys in Scarborough, end of May, then Krissy Matthews on the 2 nights after that in Halifax and Newark. Dexys set list is mainly the Feminine Divide album, Krissy has a new album coming out so that will feature heavily I would imagine.

Saw them in the G-Mex in Manchester in 1990.

    Supported by The Las.

I loved The Las album but, regrettably, they were rubbish live!

The Stranglers last night at the Usher was a bit of a let down. 50th anniversary, but nothing really happened to celebrate that. No support band and a set with a half hour break in it, so possibly the shortest set list outwith festivals. Next up is SLF and The Mary Wallopers in Newcastle this weekend.

  31. #3720
Ben Ottewell & Ian Ball of Gomez playing the first two albums.

This saturday getting into spring gig season with a few coming up.
