The Libertines acoustic at Oran Mor this afternoon was incredible. Only £12.50 a ticket - missed out for a ticket for the actual this evening so it was a decent softener.
You found your God in a paper back, you get your history from the Union Jack, and all your brothers and sisters have gone and they won't come back.

Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service playing The Hydro in August - Transatlanticism and Give Up being played in their entirety, and support from Teenage Fan Club.
Can't waitMadness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Got punk veterans 999 this week. Looking forward I have The Blockheads, From the Jam supported by The Skids, Jah Wobble, The Wedding Present, Tom Robinson Band, Altered Images, Pork Pie and The Damned. So far.
Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
He'll die before he's sold.

I've got The Skids over here in May; but just got tickets for The Wedding Present's 35th anniversary of Bizarro gig when I'm back home in October.

Managed to snag a couple of tickets for the Libertines at the Barrowlands in the pre sale this morning. Gave one to my mate for his 40th.
Hibs.nets negative posting legend and unofficial ticket agent.

Not many artists I would pay that for but they are one on the must see list.

I almost bought London tickets for Pearl Jam, but at £150 odd quid and the fact I found them a bit underwhelming at the O2 a few years back put me off.

Dexys in Scarborough, end of May, then Krissy Matthews on the 2 nights after that in Halifax and Newark. Dexys set list is mainly the Feminine Divide album, Krissy has a new album coming out so that will feature heavily I would imagine.

Supported by The Las.
I loved The Las album but, regrettably, they were rubbish live!

The Stranglers last night at the Usher was a bit of a let down. 50th anniversary, but nothing really happened to celebrate that. No support band and a set with a half hour break in it, so possibly the shortest set list outwith festivals. Next up is SLF and The Mary Wallopers in Newcastle this weekend.
