Went to see The Bouncing Souls and the Mighty Mighty Boss Tones at the Stone Pony summer stage last weekend. Was my first gig in years and absolutely brilliant.
seen the Bosstones in Manchester a few weeks ago, they were excellent and got tickets for Bouncing Souls at St Lukes in October

Been a while since I've seen them too, must be about 15 years. Looking forward to it.
Union 13 are supporting them and it's even longer since I last saw them.

Off to Dekmantel festival in Amsterdam this weekend, absolutely buzzing.

Going to be taking in the likes of Jeff Mills, Andrew Weatherall, Róisín Murphy, Danny Krivit, Kamaal Williams, and Ben UFO (amongst many others) over an action packed weekend.

I've not done it since it was holidays in the sun. Went to them from 96 to 2004 and they were brilliant, alternating between Blackpool and morecambe.
Too much like hard work now though

    Have fun.

It was, it had a real acid house vibe and all the crowd were of a certain age so no hipsters just genuine fans. Alex DJd for an hour or so before the actual gig. An eclectic mix of house and hip hop. Great vibe.

Spent quite a bit of time in Acoustic and Opera House so didn't feel too strenuous yesterday. Need to cut back on the dark fruits though, don't think my stomach will cope for another 3 days (full English every morning won't help).

I’m going to see Neneh Cherry at Leith Theatre on Saturday. St Etienne in October at the Queens Hall. Just booked tickets for Bjork at the Hydro. Great seats but £74!

Dwarves were absolutely superb. He who cannot be named was absent so no nakedness. Have to say it's the best I've seen them.

Found this on YouTube, doesn't do the sound justice though as it was really good where I was.

Neneh Cherry was superb last night. Her newer material sounded even better live. Leith Theatre is a good venue. First time I’d been.
