Jason Isbell just announced a UK tour, well, London, Manchester & Dublin.

Seen him at the Liquid Room a few years ago and he was magic. Might pop down to Manchester to catch him this time, superb songwriter & performer.

I've seen them twice. First time was Reading Festival in 2000 in a line up that included slipknot, Deftones, Queens of the stone age and.... Daphne and Celeste
Second time when they headlined Leeds Festival in 2008. They were amazing both times, let's hope they announce a date in Scotland.

The Star Shaped tour this year is immense... a co-headline of Sleeper performing 'Smart' and The Bluetones doing 'Expecting to Fly.'

Genuinely tempted to time a trip home so I can go.

Finally, after all these years, I'm going to see The Who.

My wife got me tickets for my birthday yesterday. Of course I would have loved to have seen them in their pomp with Keith Moon on the skins, but I'll still enjoy it in Glasgow next month.

Seeing Elvis Costello (again) on the 7th in Sheffield.

Are they back together again, Gaz Coombes did a solo album 5 years ago, didn't realise they're back as a band again.

Edit, no new music but just doing gigs, obviously for the cash.

They’re still brilliant live and a great show. Hit after hit. I saw them do Quadraphenia a few years ago and Townsend is still excellent. Saw Moon and the Ox back in 1976.

Is this tour with an orchestra? It seems to have slipped under my radar.

I'm not 100% certain, but I don't think there's an orchestra this time.

I don't have many musical regrets - I've seen most bands I wanted to see in my life - with the exception of Rage Against the Machine.

Noticed they were playing Reading and Leeds, and was a little annoyed their only UK dates were festival appearances. So I decided to check our their US dates (as I'm out there a few times this year) and lo' and behold, they're playing in the Bay Area when I'm there in April
Saw Rage at t in the park back in 08 and they were outstanding, really hoping they put a scottish date on.

Going to see enter shikari for the millionth time in april.

I concur. Wouldn't have expected them to be my favourite/most memorable performance that weekend but I was blown away

    What did you think?

First half was ok - not a massive fan of their newer stuff. Scenes was awesome though.

"Famed for their legendary live shows, they'll perform the hits from across their legendary career spanning six decades, accompanied by a full orchestra, along with songs from their latest WHO."

    Should be interesting!

Jon Hopkins on Wednesday at The Usher Hall, think this will be spectacular.

Slow readers club, Liquid rooms 25th March, a brilliant band live.
